Despite being in sixth chip position at the final table, Sammartino’s odds have moved from the opening price of +1200 to what is now +500 as of 5 p.m. PT on Sunday. Timothy Su, who was the chip leader after Day 5 of the 2019 WSOP Main Event with 106 players remaining, opened with odds of +2000. He then dropped to as low as +2500 but since moved back to +1800. Still, he is the biggest betting long shot in the field.

The 2019 WSOP Main Event became the second largest ever with a field of 8,569 entries, each ponying up the $10,000 buy-in to create an enormous prize pool of $80.548 million. Each of the final nine players is guaranteed a $1 million payday, with $10 million set to go to the winner.

Action for the final nine kicks off Sunday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m. PT. A televised broadcast of the event is available starting at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN2, showing live action on a 30-minute delay. On Sunday, the plan is to play from nine players down to six.

The final six players will return Monday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m. PT, with televised action set for 7 p.m. PT on ESPN. On Monday, they will play until there are three players remaining.
